The mountain hut owner teaches about the mountain hut part-time job!

This article was relocated to "PORTALFIELD" in 2018 month, 2 month. Some corrections have been made to relocate the article.

Hello. I am Megumi Imada, President of Hotakadake Sanso. 32, a mother of two children, who can hardly go to the local area (tears), but now I am registered with YamaClub. Everyone, thank you (^ o ^)

Now, what do you think about part-time work in a mountain hut? This year, it is also featured in each mountaineering magazine at this time, and you might think "Let's go."

I myself have been working in a mountain hut since I was 5 years old (laughs).

Early morning

Of course, if you're climbing, you'll understand, but the morning of the mountain hut is early. The breakfast starts around 5am. There are early and late shifts, but early hours get up around 4 o'clock, so you need to be energetic. In our mountain hut, we can say that it is almost never faster, but I have heard that in the mountain area where customers are concentrated, we get up at 3 o'clock. However, the view from the dining room window while preparing breakfast is also very nice. When the weather is nice, the sun goes through the window, and the entire hut is dyed orange.

Enjoy magnificent scenery

Explanation is unnecessary. When you come to the mountain as a mountain climber, there are some regrets depending on the weather (of course, there are good places to go in the rain!).

However, when you work in a mountain hut, you will always meet on the day you can see the best scenery! ! This is the real pleasure of a housekeeper that is difficult to replace. There are several breaks throughout the day, such as early morning breaks, morning breaks after breakfast, lunch breaks after lunch, early breaks, and snack breaks, which will be described later. Everyone draws, does yoga, goes up to Mt. Serizawa, blows whistles, and plays soccer when there are few customers! ? And taking a nap on the roof.

There is a snack break at 10 and 3

I think this is a custom in many mountain huts. This seems to have been the case for a long time. The reason for this is that, in the past, the work of mountain huts was mostly physical work (carpenter, bocca, stone transport, etc.), and the next job could not be done without taking proper energy supply and rest. It seems that. Now that I have less work outside, I tend to work in a hut, so if the weather is nice, I'll be refreshed with a tea break outside.

Work is also dynamic (yes or not)

Unlike the work of a city that has a variety of things and environments, the life of a mountain hut is what it covers. While making full use of what is there (Ohisama, Wind, Rain, Yukikei ... etc), we are trying to make it as inconvenient as possible for climbers. You may be surprised at the light, water, etc., but it is the mountain hut that turns the system that can use electricity and water in this small space. Your perspective may change after you return to living in the city. Working in such an environment is often dynamic. Does everyone feel like “work!” Dry the futon on the roof when the weather is nice, and wax the cafeteria together on a heavy rainy day. Of course, there are other aspects that aren't just dynamic because you will be in contact with many customers on a busy day. If that's the case, if you can enjoy both the details and enjoy both, is it suitable for a mountain hut? I think.

Work with a variety of interesting people

Many people come to work in the mountain hut. There are many hobbies and many people with artist skin. It's not a year-round job, so it's a skier in the winter, a person who earns money with a backpacker in the winter, a photographer, a person who goes to a resort or agricultural part-time job in other periods, a person who goes abroad in the winter, a medical system I think there are a lot of people with different backgrounds and other talents, such as those with qualifications. While such interesting people live together for a month or half a year, working in a strange place called a mountain hut, talking at night or fighting occasionally, various “life” of the various people, I like the feeling of being shared. I still believe that there is no bad person for mountain lovers. And I would like to see this encounter in the hut be an interesting and wonderful Cologne in my life.

What did you think. Want to know more specific things? If you like, we look forward to your comments!
