How to convert a string from hexadecimal to binary with Ruby's pack method [for beginners]
I will explain how to use the pack method of Ruby.
If you're not familiar with Ruby in the first place, you can read the article that explains what Ruby is for a deeper understanding.
This article is based on the contents of the Ruby course of TechAcademy's online boot camp.
What is pack
Converts the contents of the array to binary data according to the character string specified by the argument.
It is used for mutual conversion between character string data and binary data.
How to write a pack
Call the pack method on the array project.
In the argument template string, specify the type and length (1 if omitted).
There are multiple types, such as c (8-bit signed integer), i (signed integer), l (32-bit signed integer).
See the official documentation for details.
