アメリカ合衆国では、Googleがアメリカ軍のAIの軍事利用に協力する極秘計画「メイヴン計画」を行っていたことが、Googleの社員に暴露されており[130], March 2018United States Congressの公聴会では、同様に暴露された中国政府に協力する秘密計画「(English edition」とともに、人工知能を用いた兵器開発や人権侵害は拒否するとGoogleが誓った、2018年6月の人工知能開発6原則との整合性で、追及を受けた[131].
