There has been increasing media coverage of whether the Linear Chuo Shinkansen can be opened on time as originally planned.Most recently, it was attributed to the conflict between Shizuoka Prefecture and JR Central, but many climbers may be interested in the construction of a tunnel that runs through the Southern Alps.
